From CMT.com
Actor-comedian Jamie Foxx will appear with Rascal Flatts at the 2007
CMA Awards show. Foxx, who won an Academy Award for his portrayal of
Ray Charles in the film Ray, will join the trio to perform "She Goes All the Way," a song he recorded with them for their new album, Still Feels Good.
Rascal Flatts will also open the awards show with the album's title
track. Lead vocalist Gary LeVox and Foxx have known each other for more
than a decade after being introduced by Foxx's manager. LeVox and Foxx
were roommates for a brief time in the late '90s while LeVox was
pursuing a music career in California. They have remained in regular
contact since running into each other earlier this year at the Grammy
Awards in Los Angeles. "Jamie is an incredible talent, and we were
thrilled he took us up on our invitation to join us on the song," LeVox
said of the recording session. "He said he'd do it if we would sing on
one of his records, so it's a pretty good swap. He came to Nashville
just after finishing his comedy tour to work on it with us." Taking
place Nov. 7 in Nashville, the CMA Awards will be telecast on ABC.

Rascal Flatts’ new CD Still Feels Good posted first week sales of 547,000 units,
making it the band’s third consecutive album to open at No. 1 on the
Billboard Top 200 all-genre chart. The Lyric Street project, the year’s
largest unit opener in the country format, also debuted at the top of
the Country Albums chart. Included in the first week sales for Still
Feels Good are over 44,000 digital albums, making it the biggest
country digital album debut in SoundScan history. The CD sold an
additional 93,000 in individual track downloads with the multi-week No.
1 “Take Me There.”
The band’s previous project Me And My Gang opened with first week sales of 722,000 units.
Rascal Flatts is one of only three country artists since 2000—including
Kenny Chesney and Alan Jackson—to have three or more consecutive CDs
debut at No. 1 on the Top 200 chart. Over the last three years, only
two country acts, Rascal Flatts and the Dixie Chicks, have sold more
than 500,000 units in the first week of release.
Co-produced by Rascal Flatts and Dann Huff, Still Feels Good features
13 brand-new songs including the first single “Take Me There.” The band
co-wrote five of songs on the project including “Winner At A Losing
Game” and “She Goes All The Way,” the duet with Jamie Foxx. In the
seven years since launching their career Rascal Flatts has sold over 15
million albums.
