After 9 years, millions of records sold, and numerous hits, Rascal Flatts will release a their first Greatest Hits Volume I album on October 28.
The album will feature some of Rascal Flatts biggest hits. With huge hits such as: “Bless The Broken Road”, “What Hurts The Most”, “I’m Moving On”, and “Life Is A Highway”, have made Rascal Flatts consistently country music biggest selling country band this decade.
The group has been in a Nashville studio. “We’ve dropped the temperature, set a little Christmas tree out on the countertop,” says bassist Jay DeMarcus.
Arranger David Campbell worked with the band on White Christmas and Jingle BellRock. Former Take 6 member Mervyn Warren arranged a vocal rendition of I’ll Be Home for Christmas.
“It’s the first a cappella thing that we’ve done,” DeMarcus says. “It’s three voices. You’ll be able to pick them out. We’re going to pan Joe Don (Rooney) to one side, me over to the other, and Gary’s (LeVox) straight up the middle. You’ll hear three Rascal Flatts voices, nothing else dubbed.”

Well.. It’s Shawn Johnson, who just won her first gold medal in gymnastics! You might what wonder who she is listening to her on IPod. “My favorite group is probably Rascal Flatts, but I like a lot of different kinds of music, especially music that inspires you. New Album?? |

On CMT, there was article talking about recent album sales and it mentioned that Rascal Flatts will have a new album coming out this fall. “Even as recently as 2007, Flatts’ album Still Feels Good sold 547,000 copies in its first sales week and Chesney’s Poets & Pirates moved 387,00 copies. Those days may be forever gone. Both Flatts and Chesney have new releases coming this fall. The music industry will be watching those releases very, very carefully”.
I find it kind of strange there has been no promotion, or any set date of when it will be out. Still Feels Good has officially passed the 2 million mark in sales. It was released last September and “Bob That Head”, is the 4th single from the album. The Flatts have never released a 5th single from one album. I guess, we will have to wait and see.. I will keep everyone updated if i hear more on a new album.
