Rascal Flatts Joins PCA Awards Lineup And A Announcement!

Rascal Flatts has been added as performers for the People’s Choice Awards. They join Carrie Underwood who was a previous announced performer. The Flatts are up for two awards Favorite Country Song for “Take Me There” and Favorite Band. They will also make a special announcement on their upcoming next album! CBS says it will be “kick off a contest on pcaVOTE.com available exclusively to People’s Choice community members.” The awards will be presented at 9 p.m. Jan. 7 on CBS.

“Here” Reaches Number One

Rascal Flatts latest single “Here” reached number one last week. This becomes the groups 9th number one single. This puts the Flatts as the band with the most chart toppers since the year 2000. Lonestar came in second with six number ones. In other Rascal Flatts news their highly sucessful “Bob That Head” tour ranked in the top 10 tours of for 2008. They were the only country artist besides Kenny Chesney to make the top 10. Their second leg of the tour kicks off on January 17th, starting in Kansas City with opening act Jessica Simpson.
