“Here Comes Goodbye” New Rascal Flatts Single!

Your 2009 People’s Choice Favorite Group, Rascal Flatts will release their first single from their new album “Unstoppable” on Jan 26. The new single titled “Here Comes Goodbye” is written by season six, American Idol contestant Chris Sligh and Clint Lagerberg. Chris talked about the song and his reaction when he found out Rascal Flatts had recorded in his blog.

It’s official
Well, I thought it would take a little longer for it to be official. But here it is…

Rascal Flatts has recorded “Here Comes Goodbye”, a song I wrote with my good friend Clint Lagerberg (who cowrote “Empty Me” with Tony Wood and me).

We wrote the song in April last year on a Monday. The demo was recorded on Tuesday and Rascal Flatt’s label heard it and put it on hold on Wednesday. Since then we’ve been waiting around to find out what was happening.

It was the last song they decided to record and from what we’ve heard, the producer and label (and the band themselves) feels strongly that this song is going to be a good thing for Rascal Flatts. So good, in fact, that the song is officially the band’s first single. It goes to radio outlets on Monday. The official add date is Jan 26, I believe. So, listen for my/their song on radios around the world very, very soon!

This is a huge deal! I can’t believe this is happening!

Please buy the song when it hits iTunes and buy the record when it comes out April 7!

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this song. I have to hold my tears back every time I hear it. Its the EXACT way I felt when my girlfriend of 3 1/2 years broke up with me for pretty much no reason. You really know how to right a song!

You jerk!!! You stole my song!!! Not really. I just finished writing a song and it is almost exactly like yours. Scary. Makes me feel good about my writing these days. Funny how love gone bad can bring out such emotions in music. She brought my guitar to our last date and gave it to me. I knew then. I even said to myself this feels like goodbye. 5 minutes later your song came on. I cried all the way home.

I love this song too! My boyfriend of 3 1/2 years recently decided to call it quits as well. I still cry when I hear it.

I absolutely love this song.. Rascal Flatts just keeps getting better. I love them.. I just wish the song would be released so i can buy it on itunes!

I love this song, i just recently broke up with m y boyfriend of 6 months because i just couldn’t take it anymore, but i was probably just as upset as he was, i heard it on the way home from band practice that day and started to cry
