Rascal Flatts teen superstar opener has re-energized the guys in Rascal Flatts. Taylor has been opening act on the Flatts “Bob That Head” tour this year. Band member, Jay DeMarcus says her electric stage show has re-entergized them.
“It’s neat for us to see somebody as young as she is have such an energy and zeal for the music business,” DeMarcus tells Dial-Global. “It kind of has re-energized us to be real honest. To have somebody out there before us kicking our butts every night and challenging us to go out there and be the best that we can be is a really great thing to have.”
“He’s trying to say she’s like our shot of Botox,” adds guitarist Joe Don Rooney.
Taylor Swift also had nice things to say about the guys of Rascal Flatts. “I’ll always love the guys in Rascal Flatts for taking a chance on me when I was 16 and letting me open shows for them,” she says. “I barely had a single out, and they still gave me that leg up. I always base a lot of importance on remembering who has helped you out in the past. Those guys really did, so it’s an honor to be opening up their shows.”
The “Bob That Head” tour looks to continue through the end of September. Check out the tour page for dates.
